Harman is part of the party hackocracy, the beltway insiders, like snarlin' Arlen or Lieberman, and the party hackocracy hates the very idea of the people throwing them out of office, that's why.

Waxman and Woolsey(I expected better from Lynn Woolsey) were two of the bigwigs in question. The guy that was chairing the California Democratic Convention(one of the Bay Area Burtons, from what I could tell)was another.
