I voted in the primary today. |
|
This was my first experience with voting machines. It will hopefully be my last for a while, until these things work right. I ordered an absentee ballot for the GE.

3. What kind of machine did you vote on? |
|
Mine was a big analog electronic board (3 feet wide by 2 feet high), Dems on the left, Pukes on the right. I pressed a button to light up the candidates and then hit a "cast vote" button. I have no idea how the actual vote was recorded, and I've definitely never seen that type of machine before.

Never heard of it. I was expecting Diebold when I voted last Thursday.

5. Mine was a touchscreen. |

It was about as big as yours. They had all of the Democratic candidates and I touched the square right next to the one I was voting for. After I was done, I was able to review my selections and correct the ones that I didn't agree with and when I was done totally, I hit the vote button at the top of the monitor and it was done.

8. I Voted Shortly Before 6:00 PM |
|
I was Democrat #97 in my precinct, and voter #183.
But quite a few races on the primary ballot were uncontested, so I think many people may have sat this election out. After all, I'm precinct co-chair in my precinct, and I know we have close to 600 Democrats in this precinct.

We have the same machines we had in 2002. I used the old butterfly ballots in Jeffco before that and never had a problem with them. I went about 11:30 and the polling place wasn't tood busy. There was an elderly lady asking why the presidential candidates weren't on the ballots. I jokingly replied that we can't vote for that one fast enough.
