From a Texan: We bought all of your land. Ruined your economy.... |
|
And now we are coming for your women.
When I lived in Colorado in the mid 80's there were so many people who resented Texans because "we bought all of their land".
Now with W in charge you would think Coloradans would absolutely hate us! But, no. What is the deal?

There are many ways to view the statement I made...
What Coloradans don't like to admit, but they were invaded ages ago by Californians and Texans who started moving there in the 1970's (about the time of John Denver's Rocky Mountain High) so that there are not many native Coloradans.

I used to live in New Mexico and a-holes from Texas would come over the border in their big pick-up trucks with those, 'Don't Mess With Texas' bumper stickers. Granted, there are some very nice Texans, but for the most part, the state is filled with pompous jerks.

5. It seems to be a growing club. |

And, actually, they are worse than the borgs. More like a marriage between borgs and ferengis.

6. The Biggest Problem... |
|
...is the Californians moving here and driving up the property values.
For example, I know people who moved here from California because of job cuts out there. Because property values are so high out there, the little Cape Cods they bought years ago are now worth upwards of $300,000. So when they come here, they pretty much HAVE to buy a $300,000 home to avoid the capital gains tax.
And builders build more $300,000 homes as a result...
