What are your thoughts on Congressional District 6?

While Denver is reasonably liberal and most of the suburbs to the North, East and West are pretty liberal, it seems the southern part of the Denver Metro area has been a bastion of conservativism. My potluck last Sunday confirmed this with me. While I even go into Lakewood and I am a loud and proud Democrat, I am in the closet down here. I feel like a black man in a white man's neighborhood. It is like it is almost Colorado Springs, at least about half way there.
