I'll post a personal report tomorrow. I'll be early voting after I go to see John Kerry in Pueblo.

2. Hey Anna, do live in Colorado? |
|
If so, did I by any chance talk to you at the recent rally with Wes Clark? Just curious, but if you are in CO then I talked to someone that fits your M.O.
You don't have to answer if you don't feel like it.:D

7. Wes Clark is coming to Wausau, WI and is taking crowd to vote |
|
I didn't understand why he was talking at the location he picked, but it's because it is across the street from City Hall. After he speaks he's taking the crowd to early vote.

3. I was wondering the same thing. What's the turnout like? |
|
I did read that some counties have already started counting absentee and early ballots. They can do this as long as they keep the results secret until election day.

5. Just got back from voting at King Soopers. |
|
Danged touch screens! (#+!)#(%*#!!!
The place was JAMMED with voters! They even ran out of the blue ID sheets, and were using torn pieces of paper. :) A woman who was in front of me in line said she's voted in this location before, and never saw anything like this.
I'm thinking this is a really good sign. :hi:

I voted last week, and there was a decent line. And I took a peek at their voting rolls, and saw that over 400 people voted in two days!
Friggin' amazing! That location was at Monaco and Leetsdale.

from early voting in Aurora. I rough-measured the line on my way out. 51 strides from the door to the voting room to where I was when I first got on line. 48 to the end of the line as it was on my way out. Roughly 1 yard per stride.
I'd estimate 200 people easily ahead of me in line, 6-8 less than that on my way out.
Apart from the general dubiousness of the machines, no hard copy printout of voting choices, there were no problems.
I had a momentary stab of panic driving away when I saw a Conti for Congress sign, and realized I hadn't voted for her; then I remembered I'm not in her district, and I had voted for Dave Thomas. :)
I don't really know how to spot a Dem or Repub, but I'm guessing the woman with several tatoos on her legs, and the person in the Pearl Jam shirt might have been Dems.

11. I voted at the Chapell Hills Mall in the Springs saturday |
|
It was pretty packed, and I heard one of the workers say it's the slowest it's been all day.
Things went quite smoothly.
Lots of Bush bumper stickers in the parking lot, but the lady behind me had Kerry shirt on.

15. I Early Voted In Pueblo On Saturday |
|
The woman on line in front of me had a Kerry button on, and she was asked to remove it. I had a Kerry sticker on my McFadyen T-shirt (I had just come from the Kerry/Salazar rally), so I buttoned up my jacket so they couldn't see them.

I voted by mail/absentee. It is nice to get the ballots in early just in case some chaos develops.

17. Dropped my mail in at the Downtown HQ. |
|
No parking available on Bannock. I had to get a meter on 14th by the library. Went through the security gate and dropped my ballot in. I gave a thumbs up and a yell to the Salazar crowd in the park.
A quick scan of the room...I'd say there were about 100 people waiting in lines at least 10 deep. This was 2:00 pm...business hours. Outside, not ONE GOP bumper sticker. No B/C, Coors, or anybody else. Tons of stickers for all Dem candidates. I hope Owens was watching from his office.
I take that back, there was a Bush sticker... A Four More Wars sticker.:D

The exact numbers aren't clear, but I'm "guessing" that the repukes will have about a 4 to 1 advantage over us in GOTV workers. Unless the pukes have been lying, and they'd never do that.
Sounds like we may be winning the Early Vote Battle. Now, if we can win the final GOTV battle...
I need to call my Doctor and get some high blood pressure medicine before I go.. :nuke:

voting early. Hey. PSSST, Buddy! Wanna see what my precinct looks like as of last night? Being a precinct captain has it's priveleges.:D
Registered voters... Dems- 587 Repugs- 169 Unaf- 526
Absentee voted... Dems 6 Gop 2 Unaf 1
Early voted... Dem 44 Gop 10 Unaf 15
Keep in mind, this is Capital Hill, so of course I live in a heavy blue area. I also got my absentee ballot only last Friday, so that's why the numbers are low with that. Seems the Repugs got theirs the previous week....what a suprise.:eyes:

21. Heavy turnout at early. |
|
My slacker precinct is running 22% today, and that's more than we turned out total in 2002.
(My precinct is heavily mobile, working class, with many people holding 2 or more jobs. Lots of young ones just starting out, lots of relatively cheap housing that means high turnover. The fact that they can hit early voting in the numbers they are means they're REALLY motivated.)

22. Half a Million Early & Absentee Voters So Far |

According to KVOR this morning.
Mrs. CO Liberal got her absentee ballot yesterday - she filled it out last night, and I'm mailing it out for her today. And I early voted last Saturday, so we're all set.
