Did our mail-in ballots help keep Colorado's count honest? |
|
Do ya think? I hear that there were many, many mail-ins. Havng that paper trail could be a significant factor in keeping our count more accurate.

I alwasy thought Kerry winning would be a squeaker, and that Bush may win...but I never believed it would be by THAT much. It was about as much as Bush over Gore, and Nadir wasn't nnearly the factor this year.
I think we're state #3. Give me an indication that it's not.

2. I poll watched in Lakewood |
|
There were some people on my list of Democrats who had not voted yet that I am certain mailed absentee ballots, so I'm still trying to get an explanation of that.

I'm told that fully one-third of Jeffco voters either voted early or absentee. The precinct in Jeffco (Littleton) where I poll watched had 550 voters out of approximately 1000 listed eligible.
I don't live where I watched, so I have no idea if there were any anomalous names on my list. I do know they never picked up the list until I finally delivered it myself about 4:30, so I don't know if the GOTV was effective or not. I had crossed off about half of the names on the list, maybe 60%.
At the end of the day, I saw the printout from the machine. It was 250 bushturd and 250 Kerry.
