Door to Door Polling

So this weekend I had a young woman (prolly 17 or 18) kncok on my door and wanted to poll me on my choice for Senate.

Her: Um...yeah...(looking at sheet) are you (insert name)?
Me: Yes.
Her: Um...are you voting in August, because I'm doing a poll to see who you will vote for. There Saldanar whose the Democrat and Miles who is a Republican...and uh...
Me: Actually, S-A-L-A-Z-A-R and Miles are both Democrats and I'm voting for Salazar.
Her: Oh. Yeah, that's what I meant.

Is this what the future of America thinks about politics??? Sigh.

I'd prefer you'd pick Mike Miles. He's been campaigning far longer than Salazar, and his campaign is sound. Mike Miles supported Dean, and Salazar supported Holy Joe.

He has done so much for Colorado in his many years of service. Miles should try running for State Congress or at least US Rep. before diving into a US Senate race. So there! :P

BTW, to the original poster, you sure that young girl wasn't a Coors' pollster? Sounds like she thought that she wanted to try out for a new stupid Coors beer ad.

5. In a perfect and well-represented world

I would have voted for Mike Miles. However, we need someone with statewide appeal and I am sick and tired of living in a conservative state with fucks like Allard and Musgrave out there.

Granted I don't agree with Salazar's positions, but I need to see A D-Colorado sometime soon or I'm gonna freak out.

although that girl sounds misinformed, at least she was OUT THERE doing something!! If we're going to pick on teens, let's pick on the ones who sit at home on their ass and do nothing, not one who was trying to do something. If you were one of the first homes she stopped at, she was probably a little nervous and uncomfortable and just fumbled her words.
