Conti Calls on Tancredo to Reimburse Taxpayers.

Joanna Conti, Candidate for Congressional District 6, today called on Rep. Tom Tancredo to reimburse the $50,000 of taxpayer dollars he wasted on his political mailing.

As reported in last week’s Denver Post column by Jim Spencer, “Tancredo’s Xenophobic Survey a Waste of Tax Dollars,” Tom Tancredo sent out a survey that cost Congressional District 6 taxpayers $25,000. The survey asked people if the federal government should withhold Social Security payments from legal immigrants, which is illegal. To solve this problem, Tancredo had to re-send the mailing at a cost of another $25,000.
