A Kerry lead in Colorado could predict national race
Democrat John Kerry is within striking distance of President Bush in Colorado - a state that tends to vote Republican in presidential elections.
While Kerry is trailing Bush by 5 percentage points in the state, according to a Denver Post poll, the slim margin reveals more about the president than his rival.

Does he deserve to be rehired?"' said Larry Harris, a director of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc., which conducted the poll. "Right now, it looks like Bush is vulnerable in Colorado, and that spells opportunity for Kerry."
