bush depression train update: moved, more cars added, still massive eyesore. |

The line of empty boxcars that's been sitting north of Denver since Thanksgiving was moved north yesterday. Saturday night, the southernmost car was about 1/4 mile north of 168th Ave. Since then, more cars were added and it now stretches south to 160th (highway 7). This graffiti tainted train remains an eyesore for the people who live here and the thousands that travel on highway 7 every day.
The Adams County Commissioners need to insist that this train be moved out of Adams County. At a time when we receive our unfair high property taxes, jury summons, news that the senior property-tax-break will be removed and that our car registration fee will go up, one must ask what we're getting from our county government?
They are doubling the size of the county courthouse so that eastern bankster usurists can sue us despite the fact that usury is illegal in Colorado. They plan to build a new administration building so that the have somewhere to sit on their asses.
Union Pacific who owns the train is owned by some of the richest people on earth. The county and the city of Thornton has not written any tickets for the graffiti on the train. In fact a Thornton cop was parked right next to the train trying to catch speeders. They sure don't enforce the laws equally. If they don't need the train, then scrap it.
