1. Very common for traumatized kids to claim premonition.

Dr. Lenore Terr found that a lot of traumatized kids later said they had some kind of premonitory dream or experience. Her theory is that the brain re-writes a little and projects the idea of a "warning" as a way of imagining some control over the event: "I could have avoided it if I'd listened!" and as a way of imagining having some warning to protect oneself from trauma in the future: "Next time I'll listen to my dream!"
