Colo. lawmakers urged to stop abuse of ag-land tax status |

Good idea but because 99% of the abusers are the rich and famous, this "loop-hole" will never be closed.... http://www.denverpost.com/search/ci_16551983

But documenting the most egregious abuses is a step in the right direction. Especially if we can connect them with names of individuals.

Just think, Hickenlooper paid $300 in taxes on hundreds of acres of land in the mountains which is defintely not ag land. This rich man saved millions of dollars! Meanwhile honest people are paying $3000 for just a few acres that they live on. What a regressive tax code! What a joke. The fairness of our system is completely broken.
Oh, and we can't forget the crooked assessor in Adams County who gives massive tax breaks to his donors. Things are really bad in this country.
