2. I got excited too but Bluebear pointed out the L man voted for cloture... |
|
...and turned off the filibuster to stop the bill entirely. Clever isn't he...Yes NightTrain, Lieberman is still a jerk-off (of "Jeff-off", if you prefer).

I know he is a good guy. You can be a good person and be a fiscal conservative. It just means you want to pay as you go - but transfer wealth anyways. :loveya:
Are you toying with me?

7. How does he stay in office |
|
CT is a fairly liberal state and yet we have the second most conservative Democratic Senator? That doesn't make all that much sense to me. I'm fine with being fiscally conservative, as a matter of fact I am partial to that view myself, but Lieberman is barely a Democrat on most issues we hold important. WTF? Is it his ability to bring the beacon home for the Sub base and other money issues?

8. Holy Joe brings LOTS of federal money into Connecticut. |
|
That's why he keeps getting re-elected. Well, that and the state GOP's inability to find anyone to run against him better than Philip Giordano, who's now in prison for child molestation! :eyes:

9. Johnson, Shays & Simmons... |
|
They're all afraid to run against Lieberman and Dodd. I think Johnson or Shays would be a tough battle for any other Dem in the state, however, if Lieberman/Dodd dropped out.
Didn't the recent poll that had Lieberman at 72% popularity among state Democrats also have him very high among independents & Republicans, too?
