Hartford CT Armory Seeking Volunteers

to sort donated items. I saw this in the Sunday paper and heard it again on WSHU this AM. They are open today at 8 AM and my son & I plan to head up there if they need us. I will call first (860-524-4951) and make sure they still need help before using $3.39 a gallon gas to drive up there. SHU piece said they are getting about 20 volunteers a day

The New Haven Armory also needs help - they are not open today but can use help starting Tuesday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Their phone # is on the State of CT website

They were still asking for donated goods as of yesterday's newspaper article

I gave money to a couple of groups so far ( the LA Gov.'s Fund and HSUS) but feel the need to do something concrete
