Theater shows "F-9/11," but won't put film's title on its marquee. |
|
How's this for freeper stupidity?
The manager of the six-plex in Willimantic (whose name eludes me) initially refused to show FAHRENHEIT 9/11, but was forced to do so under orders from the theater's corporate overlords. After all, the film is kicking ass at the box office!
So what does the manager do? He grudgingly gets F-9/11, but has refused to display the film's title on the marquee! As if that's going to stop filmgoers from seeing it. What a douche bag! :grr:

1. His boss needs to be notified |

After all, he is defying corporate directives, and misleading theatre-goers (also called paying customers).
Is this called Jillson theatres?

people normally find out ahead of time what movie is playing where. They don't go driving around checking the marquees! Stooopid!

3. It May Happen In Kentucky Too |

A manager looks good if he makes money but dosen't submit an advertising budget/invoice to "his" corporate masters who oppose the film.
How can you oppose people paying money "hand-over-fist" to see a Documentary just to get caught up with the "truth" if a greater amount of money is involved?
Your Manager isn't a "douche-bag"; just another guy trying to limp along making his house payment in a very difficult time.

4. No, he's definitely a douche bag. |
|
If all the manager cared about was "making his house payment," he wouldn't try to sabotage the theater's chances of turning a profit on the Michael Moore film.
