Former Rep. Michael Fedele of Stamford will be Gov. M. Jodi Rell's running mate, ending a guessing game in the state political world and completing the incumbent's underticket before Saturday's nominating convention.
Born in Italy, Fedele will be touted by the campaign as an immigrant who rose to become a state legislator and the successful chairman and chief executive officer of a national computer sales and leasing company.
Republican insiders confirmed that Rell has made her choice for lieutenant governor, but campaign officials and state officials said that no announcement would be made by Rell until Thursday.
