Did Boxer end up campaigning for LIEberman in the primary?

As a constituent I and other (many others) called her and urged her not to do so but I haven't heard any follow up.

is on a mailing piece I received supporting Lieberman, along with all the other female Democratic Senators -- Clinton, Mikulsky, Landrieu, etc.

Boxer loyal to Senate colleague

Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the centrist Democrat who came to national prominence as Al Gore's running mate in 2000, is in a dogfight to keep his seat in the Senate. Analysts believe he could lose the Democratic primary Aug. 8 to challenger Ned Lamont because of Lieberman's unflinching support for the war in Iraq. Lieberman announced this week he will collect signatures to run as an independent on the November ballot if he loses the primary.

Now one of the Senate's most vociferous anti-war voices -- California Democrat Barbara Boxer -- is trying to help her old Senate buddy.

Boxer told the Chronicle today she plans to appear on Lieberman's behalf at an environmental event in Connecticut on air pollution and children's asthma.

The not-so-subtle message of the event to Democrats: You may think he's too close to President Bush on the war, but he's been with you on other important Democratic issues.

6. Don't know if she will come. She's been getting heat from CA DFA'ers

to not stump for Lieberman.

After the Biden no-show, I'm sure Lieberman will wait til Boxer shows up in CT before spreading the word that she's here to stump for him.

8. Looks like Boxer, Biden, and Salazar...

... have dates planned. I have already e-mailed Sen.'s Boxer and Biden expressing my disappointment and asking them not to come and support a Senator who is starting his own party, but to join with Democrats after we have a primary winner. I feel strongly that unless there are serious ethical issues, they should reconsider visiting Connecticut until after the primary. Of course they have every right to come, but we have every right to protest their appearances and ask questions about their support of Sen. Lieberman.

Do you support his record?

Do you support his votes (and no-shows)?

Would you take the same course of action in Iraq (as Joe would) knowing there was no threat to the US (or their neighbors)?

How can you support a Senator who would bolt the party for his own self-interest, ignoring the will of Democratic voters.

Are you in good company when considing Joe has been endorsed by Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, as well as most of Fox News? Why do you think that is?

They should be willing to answer these questions before they try to marginalize Lamont supporters as some fringe group (who just happened to be more right than they were in 2002-03) and fall in line with the "old-boy" network of Senatorial "decorum".

Time to stop protecting your positions and start protecting US!

9. Look past their religious affiliation

Feinstein says she is supporting Lieberman,also. I think Boxer and Feinstein should look past their religious affiliation
with Lieberman. He's a Republican masquerading as a Democrat.
