Howard Stern just blasted Lieberman!

About 20 minutes ago Howard unloaded on Joe Lieberman for a good 5 minutes. Stern has disliked Holy Joe ever since he and Bob "Hypocrite" Bennett called a press conference to denounce Stern's short - lived CBS TV syndication deal in the '90s. "Shut the f**k up," Stern said, "Nobody cares what a Senator thinks about the TV shows we watch." He went on to attack Joe for his craven bootlicking of Bush, saying "he's Bush's number 1 cheerleader, he should just put on a dress and jump up and down." Howard also took on Joe's pathetic attempt to make Lamont's wealth an issue by saying "Like there's no other rich guys in the Senate; you pretty much have to be rich to run. I bet Lieberman's wealthy too." Stern concluded with "I'm glad that Democrats in Connecticut are messing with this guy."

Howard didn't offer an endorsement of Lamont (he never mentioned his name, probably intentionally) but producer and CT resident Gary "Bababooey" Dell Abate said "I'm voting for Ned Lamont."

2. For the record, Lieberman's speaking fee is $15,000 a speech...

...and his wife works for a lobbying firm that serves the pharmaceutical industry. So yeah, it's safe to assume that the Liebermans aren't trying to survive on state assistance.
