Is Chris Dodd the key?
Should people in CT ask him to support Ned Lamont in the general (though he supported Lieberman in the primary)?

1. Dodd has already thrown support to Lamont...
He needs to help encourage LIEberman DemoCraps (if there are any left) to throw their support behind Lamont, too, and remind them that LIEberman is the worst kind of turncoat, traitor opportunist there is...

2. Seems like it would make a great TV commercial,
...if Dodd looked straight into the camera and explained why he supported Lieberman in the primary but is supporting Lamont now.

4. Big differences
If Dodd actively campaigns for Lamont, then he is totally behind him. If he just says he supports Lamont, but does so half-heartedly, then I won't really believe it.

6. It did look half hearted at the news conference.
In fact, at one point he slipped up and said he was supporting Lieberman! I hope he and the other Democrats can begin showing more enthusiasm.

3. Dodd supports Ned
Now Dodd needs to tell Joe to drop out. Dodd keeps saying it's Joe's choice, that it's up to Joe to decide to stay in or drop out.

7. You heard what Lieberman did to Dodd, right?
Dodd wanted to talk to him on primary night, and went up to his hotel room... and Joe refused to acknowledge even Dodd's knock on the door.

10. Wow. What an ass Joe is.
IMO, Dodd was just trying to be a friend at a terrible time for Joe. Joe should've had the decency to at least answer the door.

11. He's just showing
how totally lacking in "Class" he is.

12. Wow, I did not know that.
What a prick. Joe does not deserve the friendship and respect he has gotten from any of these people. I hope Dodd campaigns for Ned.

8. As I said above..
There is a big difference:

Is Dodd saying he supports Lamont only out of duty to a fellow Democrat? Or, is Dodd going to actively campaign for Ned Lamont?

Connecticut Democrats have shown no qualms at letting one of their own be hung out to dry all by themselves... how much enthusiastic support from fellow Democrats did Bill Curry get when running for governor in 2002? Zip, none, nil. Sure, they would say they support Curry if asked the question... but, did any of them do the work necessary to actively campaign for him?

The same with the Clintons. Will either of them make an appearance in the state to campaign for Lamont?
