Washington Democratic Town Committee Vice Chair Resigns
By: Ann Compton 08/12/2006
WASHINGTON - Democratic Town Committee Vice Chairman Roderick M. Wyant III has tendered his resignation after 24 years, in a letter to Town Committee Chair Jane Boyer.
He cites differences of opinion with the direction and ideology of the Democratic Town Committee as reasons for his departure, as well as his recent failure to secure a seat on the Planning Commission.
Mr. Wyant also said he needed additional time to devote to the campaigns of Dan Malloy and Joe Lieberman, and will be serving as Matthew Brennan's campaign manager in his bid for a state senate seat.
