Isn't there a real Independent candidate for Senate?

I vaguely remember reading that someone besides Lamont, Lieberman, Schlesinger and Ferucci is running for Senate. He or She is a true Independent, not a petitioning minor party candidate like Lieberman.

Does anyone know if this is true, and what the person's name is?

I'd like to alert my local political reporter, and ask that he stop referring to Lieberman as an Independent, and I'd like to use this to help make my case.
