Apart from the DLC, the only person who hasn't figured out that Joe Lieberman is a Republican is Joe Lieberman. As the expression goes, if Lieberman switched parties, the average IQ on both sides of the aisle would go up.
Lieberman is everything the Republicans like to claim Democrats are, which we are not and they are: silver-spoon morons who get ahead on the basis of family connections (like the pResident, for example). The only reason Lieberman calls himself a Democrat is that he believes that everyone above a certain income level is required by law to do so. He learned this from reading Ann Coulter books while studiously ignoring the blindingly obvious fact that it simply benefits the rich to vote for a no-regulation party like the GOP. Lieberman's other Republican characteristics include opposing gay marriage, opposing abortion, supporting the war in Iraq and supporting tax cuts.
Democrats are always told we're supposed to vote for Goppie Bushkisser if he has a "D" after his name so Democratic nominees will be confirmed to the Supreme Court. That is true: Save Iraq, there is no more important issue than a president's Supreme Court nominees. But Lieberman voted for 50 percent of all Bush SCOTUS nominees, so he doesn't even have that argument going for him.
Lieberman explained his vote against Alito -- but for John Roberts -- by invoking the (Republican) talking point about maintaining "balance" on the court.
Ned Lamont is the molecular opposite of Lieberman: He is smart, self-made -- and a Democrat. He is a sucessful businessman. He has experience as a selectman and state senatorial candidate, positions he acquired by hard work and native talent, not by backstabbing and weasel words.
Lamont is the sort of decent, talented person that makes you wonder why he would bother entering an irritating profession like politics. But he did. True, Lieberman currently has a slight lead in the polls. But that's no reason for the Democratic Party to debase itself by running someone right-wing enough to appeal to Republicans.

4. Liberman and Hillary Clinton.... |
|
Is it just me or does Hillary and LIEberman seem to be rather similar in character? Hillary flip-flops like a fish out of water and I believe she is doing the same thing Lieberman has/is doing. Call yourself one thing and then turn around and cater to those that are destroying the nation.
They know what they do is wrong, they have to. Yet, the go through with it it appease people that make up a small percentage of the country..The Rich and Corperations.
Voting is just like gambling, you never know what your going to get in the end. If you the person you voted for WINS, everyone that voted for that person should get a check.

If it becomes true that the Repos sent money to help Liberman does that make all you good Democrats feel like whores also. What will you people do when you have to face each other. Your sitting back and allowing this seat to be bought is almost being a conspirator in the fraud. I never cared that much about your state and everyday it get's worst. Hell I thought my Ohio was bad but you people really take the cake. Where in the line do you guys fall
