My job requires me to watch the Hartford NBC affiliate news, and I've seen attorney general Richard Blumenthal on numerous occasions on variety of topics. As an outsider from Kentucky, I saw him as a champion-for-the-little-guy lawyer type, ala Eliot Spitzer. Can anybody give the lowdown on him?

anyways Blumenthal in my eyes is a bit of a chicken as in He could of Ran vs Rell and won probaly the only Democrat in CT who could of won vs her.
he is a Good AG.

he's a good AG, and enjoys the CT limelight that goes with the job. He's a bit of a self-promoter, and that can get tiresome after a while (I once watched him march into a funeral -- late -- and proceed to glad-hand people down the ailse until he seated himself. Ugh.)
I think if he really wanted to go for a new position (Gov. or Cong. or Senate) he would have done so already.
He's a solid Dem. so far as I've seen. And does a fairly good job here, too. Just a bit full of himself.
