From what I understand, they pushed for deregulation. Our legislators, among others, fell for it and we are now stuck with the results. The electric companies sold off their power generation plants, so its not like they can just turn them on again and start making electricity.
We need to investigate solar and wind power generation in CT. I would rather see wind power being generated in the LI Sound instead of the LNG storage tank that Broadwater is trying to stuff down our throats for that location. Boaters may feel differently about that, though.

We have an all electric house and we didn't even have the heat on too much since it wasn't that cold. Can't wait for the summer when those ACs are on full blast. :mad:

and our tenant had to use space heaters for a week in December while we got the gas repaired and her bill was over $400. I'm beginning to wonder how much longer we can afford to live here if the rates keep going up.
