Rell likely to run again in 2010 |
According to Colin McEnroe today - Jodi Rell is likely going to run for re-election in 2010. Unfortunately, I don't think many Dems have the stomach for a tough race against her.

1. You know what would be interesting? |
Someone convincing Holy Joe to run. Personally, given his stance on domestic issues (not bad) and the fact he's probably enjoy being a bigger fish in a smaller pond, it might not be a terrible idea. It would be a great way to get him out of federal politics (and foreign policy) 2 years early anyway.
Just thinking outload. :)

4. Because most CT voters distrust the Dem controlled Legislature |
That distrust is rooted in the early 1990 state Income Tax battle. CT did have a state income tax until the early 1990's. The battle over that tax is when the Republicans smeared Democrats and helped breed the distrust of a One-party controlled legislature. The Democrats have not really overcome that smear so most CT voters would rather have power split in CT -- Repukes control the governorship and Dems control the Legislature.
