I'm a Delegate !

to 3 nominating conventions. I volunteered to be nominated for 3 of the 4 and figured I'd get to go to the one for probate judge. At the DTC meeting the other night, I was elected to go to all 3 - House of Reps (Rosa DeLauro !), state senator and the probate judge.

Do I have to have a funny hat ? Does it have to be a different one for each convention ?

My DTC is hold it's officer and delegate elections next week.

Did your DTC elect delegates to the May Dem convention where the governor and other state level offices will be nominated?

2. Yes. That's the only one I'm not going to

Due to schedule conflicts I didn't volunteer for that one. But if I had, it sounds like I would heave been elected. There was a surprisingly low level of interest in being a delegate.

Gerry Garcia came to speak to us this week. So did Marconi. I liked Garcia. Marconi, not so much. Bysewicz was supposed to come but when I left at 9 pm there was no sign of her

3. Bysewicz

Bysewicz is really tiny. I met her at a DTC gathering. I'm a bear of a male and I had to remember to throttle back on my firm handshake.

She's a nice person.

Have you heard any updates on her run for AG ?

5. I heard that the court will rule on her case around April 12th

8. Thanks for the update. Someone just asked me about that

the other day. He came to the DTC meeting last year when she spoke to us and was impressed with her credentials for the gubernatorial race. We both think she made a fatal error in changing to the Atty General race.

6. As chair, I'm going to all the Conventions

I'll be busy from end of April through end of May

7. and you'll be busy after May, too, with campaign fundraising

events, I'll bet.

I got an invite for a Blumenthal cocktail party fundraiser being hosted by Teddy Kennedy Jr and his wife. I'm seriously thinking about going to it even though I'm not much of a cocktail party person. Several of the other lawyers I used to work with are on the host committee, too, and it would be good to see them again. Plus, I want Blumenthal to win that Senate seat.
