Are there any post primary polls on the House races in CT? |
|
Jim Himes is a newbie to Congress and in a historically Republican district. Stu McKinney & Chris Shays were there for like 30 years combined as moderate Republicans.
How about Joe Courtney? He won in 2006 by a razor thin margin, but won in 2008 by a large margin. However, eastern CT is notoriously swingy and he is running against a well-liked celebrity in Janet Peckinpaugh, the former news anchor.
And, Chris Murphy defeated long-time incumbent Nancy Johnson in 2006. He won by a fairly handy margin in 2008, but not by as much as Courtney. His opponent, Sam Caliguri, does have some name recognition.
Any polls on these races?

1. Haven't seen any on those races yet. |

The last Q-poll taken about a week after the primary has Malloy up by 15 over Foley.

2. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Malloy |

he's certainly way better than Foley, and I have only seen one Democrat win the governor's office since I became voting eligible in 1985... so, I'd be happy if we just got a Democrat in there.
