http://www.newhavenindependent.org/index.php/archives/entry/occupation_begins/id_41197According to the New Haven Independent, there were 1,000 of us there today. I went with 2 women from the weekly peace vigil here in town. We marched around the Green but didn't stay for the General Assembly. One of my companions is in her 80's and the march was tiring for her so we took her home.

I was fortunate enough to be on the green Saturday. A great group of people. The handful of young corporate fascists who showed up saddened me, but then again, I've known rethugs who were cured with enough experience and education. I wish we had a local hard-ass radical rock band for musical inspiration, like the Airplane. Or the MC5.

I talked with one of the coordinators today to find out what they need. She said they are running low on socks and also can use bottled water - the large gallon size.
