Subject: Local college community radio change?
According to an article in the Hartford Courant, the president of Wesleyan wants to take the students and community members off the air during the day at freeform WESU, in Middletown, and replace them with NPR programing.

Wesleyan's student newspaper, the Argus, has published articles on this, although you may have to run a search on WESU, to find them.

WESU V. NPR PANEL DISCUSSION
Please attend an informative panel discussion.
Monday
November 15th
7:30PM
PAC001 (subject to change)
on the campus of Wesleyan University
Hosted by the Progressive Student Alliance.
I'm posting this to the WHUS list, because I think WESU is similar in philosophy to WHUS, and is relatively close by.
WESU is home to at least one former WHUSer... Tuesday, 9PM - 11 PM, Freestyle Family with DJ Larry Vee.
