Quick question: are FL's absentee ballots counted in all circumstances? |
|
Refresh my memory, what are the rules on those ballots?
I don't live in FL but have a friend who just voted absentee and I'm concerned for her vote.
thanks.

and I am pretty certain they are counted, I believe it's required actually. Now, it may not occur immediately, but it will be done, especially if it's close. Now, will they actually sneak a peak and throw out the Obama ones, well, that's anyone's guess... I cannot believe we have to worry about such things, but it happens.

2. my hubby says that they're not counted unless |
|
the election is within a one percent difference. I don't know. If that true, those votes are left out of the popular count for the country. Not that that matters much, since it doesn't decide elections.
My worry is if they will be fairly counted, given the state of FL's Division of Elections / Election Commission.

3. wikipedia says they are "counted on election day". so I think that's probably right, although |
|
I used to think just like your hubby, that they didn't bother with them unless it was close, but they don't punish people for voting early is the point I guess. wikipedia.org
take care!
