The Broward state attorney's office on Monday issued arrest warrants for School Board member Stephanie Kraft and her husband, Mitch Kraft, on a slew of bribery and misconduct charges.
The Krafts were expected to surrender at the Broward County Jail on Monday. Bond for each was set at $9,000.
The charges, according to a statement, stem from when the Krafts helped two South Florida developers, Bruce and Shawn Chait, owners of Prestige Homes, reduce their development fees for a project. The fees were lowered by $500,000.
The Krafts each face charges of unlawful compensation, bribery, official misconduct and conspiracy to commit unlawful compensation and/or bribery.
