Why is Scott not in jail? |
|
I pose a very simple question, I don't know many of the specifics of the cases, but if someone founds a corporation that then rips the government off for millions, or perhaps billions(as I said, I don't know many of the specifics) why are they not being held responsible? Obviously a huge fine was levied against the corporation, but did anybody see jail time from that little accounting trick, or was only the corporation itself held responsible(by fines). Of course I will try to find out for myself, but I figure someone here might have an idea, and while I do agree that it is simply because he is rich, I am hoping for a bit more meaningful discussion. Thanks

Now if some low level drone who worked for him took a computer home without authorization or misused a company credit card for a hundred bucks or so they would be in the lockup before you could say 'oligarchy'.
