I am voting for Crist

I would love to vote for Meeks but I feel a vote for him is a vote for RUBIO, much like a vote for Perot was a vote for Clinton. I feel that we need to keep Rubio OUT of the Senate at all costs even if that means voting for "Independent" Crist who is a "flaming" liberal in comparison to Rubio. I work in the school district as a special needs TA. I do not want, or need, my salary or the teachers in my field tied to any FCACTS which our kids wouldn't know the difference between a napkin. One size does NOT fit all. Same for the PE, Art, Music, or French teachers. Life does not revolve around FCATS. I am happy that at least Crist recognizes this, unlike Crist. I sent my own children to PUBLIC schools (Long Island) though we were well able to afford private education.

I also detest Ribio's stance on choice issues, gay rights, immigration, etc., etc. Crist is 100% better than this right wing, religious koot, tea bagger, nut case. I fear though because he is Hispanic that he will get the vote just because of that, which unforunately, is absurd. As a woman, I would not more vote for a Palin or O'Donnell just because I am female, than cut off my right ear.

Let me also state that I do not intent to stay in the state of Florida. I am moving BACK to NY in the summer. I am far more passionate about Florida's SENATE race than the Governor's, although I do intent to vote for Sink.

The future Senator from Florida will far more affect the rest of the country. That is far more an important issue for the direction of this country than one state's Governor.

1. Don't underestimate the influence that the governor can have on national politics...

Jebbie certainly made his mark on this state and this country.

Remember, without Jebbie and his hand picked Secretary of State, George W. Bush could not have taken the Presidency.

And Rubio is Jeb's protege. So is Thrasher, who is trashing Deborah Gianoulis via robo calls (way too many of them already), circulars in the mail every day -- quite often more than one and really distorting or should I say outright lying about who she is and what she stands for. Thrasher is the one who wrote and introduced Senate Bill 6 which Crist vetoed.

Jeb is still pulling the strings in Florida and also has his fingers in national politics.

I don't think Jeb will run for President any time soon. He is playing king maker and Rubio will probably be running for President very soon if Florida elects him.

(I'm with you; I'm voting for Crist, who is actually more liberal than our Democratic Senator Bill Nelson.

I say vote against anyone who is sponsored or in any other way supported by Jeb Bush.

with Rubio, because as I recall after Martinez was elected he said that Martinez was a good man and he looked forward to working with him.

And I was at rallies where he stood beside Castor and smiled, just as he did when Kerry was running. I don't trust Nelson, but he's had a safe seat for a long time. My once 2 term Representative Katherine "Cruella" Harris was who he ran against in his last campaign. Not exactly a person who gave Nelson much of a problem.

3. Nate Silver says Charlie Crist has only a 7% chance to beat Rubio.

I would've certainly voted for Crist, if I thought he had a chance, but he doesn't--so I didn't. It felt good to fill in the oval on my absentee ballot for the Democrat.
