Shame on you if you don't do something to help build the movement against Rick Scott. |
|
There will be a protest on March 12 in Tallahassee for education and public safety. If you know a college student, teacher, cop, or anyone else directly or indirectly impacted by Rick Scott's draconian budget you need to encourage them to attend. If you know anyone who doesn't like Rick Scott you need to encourage them to attend. The Egyptian revolution was organized with social media. If you have a keyboard you need to be posting this information on websites, message boards, emails, and social media. There are 650,000 public sector employees and probably almost as many college students in this state. That doesn't count parents and K-12 students. We need thousands upon thousands in Tally on March 12. There will be a Florida PTA march a couple weeks later, but as many protests as possible would be a good start at waking up the Democratic Party in this state from a deep slumber. You've got to understand that this protest on March 12 could help with the GOTV efforts in 2012. We need to wake people up to what's going on in this state. If you hate what the Republicans are doing in this state to our schools, environment, public safety and so much more you need to do what you can to make sure that March 12 is a success!!!

Rally in Tallahassee for Education and Public Safety March 12th http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Rally-in-Tallahassee-for-Education-and-Public-Safety-March-12th/142285865836116That's great if you can go. If you can't try to do something local. Try to drum up publicity. Everyone can help in some capacity.

5. Collier teachers will roll over and play dead |

They did this the last time with the bill Crist vetoed, while their fellow teachers just 30 miles away in Ft. Myers were protesting in the streets.
Even with the repeal vote of class size amendments, the people of Collier voted it. Again, unlike the rest of Florida.
Stick a fork in NAPLES. They are hopeless. Thank goodness for the REST of Florida. I don't have a pony in this race since I am moving back north in June.
Good luck, though, to all of your efforts to fight the Man in Black, Rick Scott.
Edit, I work in the Collier School District so I have firsthand experience of the mood here.
