German frim wants to build solar farm in St Petersburg. |

and apparently the powers to be don't want them to build over the Toytown dump area because they feel homes and businesses would create more of a tax base.
Can you imagine the problems with homes built on a landfill? No matter how much packing and crunching is done they'll be pockets of rotting wood and other items that will show up at the most unopportune times.
It would seem to me that a solar farm, tied into the resourse to energy plant already in existence there would be the way to go.
What do you guys think?
