It used to be that Jebbie was poison - I guess things have really changed. Just goes to show that the voters have a short memory.

1. Most people vote with their wallets.
If things are looking good, then they are happy with the leaders. Because of the low interest rates, Florida became a great place to buy a home. Jebbie happily bent or eliminated environmental and growth management regulations to encourage it. However, this policy is unsustainable. With the decline in the housing market. I'll bet that this time next year, folks will be cursing Jebbie.

4. Or who is the most "conservative"
As if controlling gay relationships and women's rights supersedes all else.

6. Crist is slippery
Crist is playing the "compassionate" conservative thing from what I saw. He said he is personaly pro-life but doesn't think the government should get involved by regulating abortion and he is against gay marriage but for the civil union alternative. Playing the moderate and the Jeb Bush-clone bit at the same time. From talking to some of the "conservative democrats" here around North Florida I get the impression that they aren't the least bit unhappy with Jeb and think Crist is a decent sensible guy :eyes:

I think Davis or Smith are going to have to win big in South Florida to carry this election, at the very least to cancel out all the Zell Miller type Democrats up North.

3. Its ironic
Nationally GOP candidates are distancing themselves from GWB by claiming to be "Regan" Republicans. Here in Florida the asshats are comparing themselves to GWB evil little brother. God help us if Jeb makes a run for Prez, he's smarter than his brother and twice as sneaky.

5. On something related but off topic...

They did an interview in the Sunday's St. Pete Times listing information on all the top four candidates for Governor. One of the questions was, what is your favorite snack food? Charly Crist's favorite was crunchy cheetoes. Maybe I'm just tired from several days of staying up with my twins and their head colds but this tickled me. I could imagine Crist's head superimposed on a Chester Cheetah body saying, "It's not easy being cheesy!". Cheesy Charley, I like the sound of that.:silly:
