We need some help over here in the 5th Congressional District.

We (John Russell)won our primary decisively by 10 points over the party favorite (Rick Penberthy). While he curried favor from the FDP and the 8 county DEC's, and the AFL-CIO, we ran a very effective grassroots campaign, with the endorsement of AFSCME, DFA, and PDA.

Now we have 58 days to mount a campaign to retire Ginny Brown-Waite. We think that we have a good chance of achieving this goal, but we have a severe cash shortage. We can't get Karen Thurman or the FDP to do anything, even though this is the seat Thurman lost 4 years ago. Forget the DCCC.

All of our staff are unpaid volunteers, and we've been working hard for over a year, and it's within our grasp. Let's make America work again!
