I think you need to find another website to post to if you are going to come on here and promote some rich nutjob Reform party candidate over the Democratic nominee. I was reserved in some of my criticism of Rod Smith because of the need for party unity after the nominee. Your previous posts largely consisted of non sequitors in attacking Jim Davis. I had much more disagreement than the environmental issues with Smith. However, I would have supported him over Crist and this whack job. I am a Democrat and believe in our reality based approach to government. That's not to say that I would never vote for a member of another party if I feel our candidate is not worthwhile. I would never undermine our party by coming on this forum and making a post promoting the member of another party because my preferred candidate lost the primary.

Linn is running on a bunch of feel good populist rhetoric with no basis in reality. Case in point, he wants to raise the base salary of teachers up to 50,000 without creating new revenue to pay for it. There over 178,000 teachers in Florida. If you gave each one of them a raise of 18,000, you'd end up with over 3 billion in costs. He claims he can do that because of the state surplus. That surplus is temporary and partly borne by Jebbie's group shifting the costs over government onto the backs of local governments by requiring they keep their rates at a set level. The property tax is killing some lower income home owners. This is the same "free lunch" crap that the Repugs like Crist spin. Did you even look at some of this guy's positions? He wants to send all violent criminals to jails in Mexico. Gee, why not Guantanamo? :eyes: Did you even read his anti-immigration crap?
