A Jensen Beach man was charged with felony battery, false imprisonment and cruelty to an animal after he reportedly dragged a woman into his house, punched her in the face and stomach then beat her pit bull puppy in the head, threw the dog in a cage and sprayed disinfectant in its face.

Bryan N. Pustover, 20, of 1271 N.E. Sunrise Terrace, also was charged with grand theft for reportedly stealing the woman's purse when she fled the house Friday night and sought help at a neighbor's house, according to his arrest affidavit.

This is just awful. This man needs to stay in prison for awhile

hoping to make any kind of sense out of this, but that's basically all there is to the story. What a terrifying experience for the woman and her puppy - and, Yes, he needs to be locked away somewhere.

Searched his name and came up with this:

Alleged ruse Jensen Beach driver's ticket to jail
Police attempted to pull a man over for speeding, but he fled and allegedly reported his truck stolen 15 minutes later.

A Sewall's Point police officer reported trying to stop a speeding 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup truck about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The truck, registered to Bryan Nicholas Pustover, 19, initially wouldn't stop. The driver jumped out of the truck in the 1300 block of Northeast Elenore Avenue and ran away, according to a Martin County sheriff's report released Monday.

About 15 minutes later, a sheriff's deputy reported Pustover called 911 to say he awoke to find his 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup truck missing from his driveway in the 2000 block of Northeast Steven Avenue.

He said he noticed the truck missing when he went to check the driveway because people had been throwing eggs there.

on edit:
Darn it. Can't get the link to work no matter how I play with it. Grumble, grumble. Sorry.
Only suggestion - Search Google using "Bryan Pustover". It's the first result, available only by clicking on the 'cached' link.
