No wonder we can't win in Florida. Karen Thurman working for Republican lobbyist!
The title to the article says it all. Can we say conflict of interest kiddies? I've seen her actively undermine campaigns in Florida. Ignore others. A tidal wave hit every state in the US last year, but surprisingly (not really) missed Florida.

POLITICS
The odd couple: Democrat is lobbying for Republican
Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Thurman is on the payroll of a prominent Republican power broker.
BY BETH REINHARD
breinhard@MiamiHerald.com

For strange bedfellows in Washington, consider the partnership between two of Florida's best-known partisans: Democrat Karen Thurman and Republican Al Cárdenas.

Thurman, chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party, gets $3,500 a month from Cárdenas, former chairman of the Florida Republican Party, to help him lobby the new Democratic leadership in Congress on behalf of Miami-Dade County.

Party bylaws do not preclude Thurman from pursuing income outside her $100,000 annual salary. But some current and former leaders were surprised that the party chief charged with turning the state from red to blue in the next presidential election was on the payroll of a top advisor to Republican contender Mitt Romney.

(snip) Much more

Now you might understand some of the reasons I resigned from my DEC.

2. Tidal wave missed Florida?

So, you mean Florida, where Republicans lost two congressional seats? Do you mean Florida, where Democrats picked up three seats in the House (and an additional one this year)? Are you talking about Florida, where voters reelected a Democratic U. S. Senator and for the first time in eight years elected a Democrat to the cabinet?

If you are that blind to what is going on, perhaps your DEC is better off without you.

Well, Charlie Crist won by 8 % over our nominee, Jim Davis. I guess you could say that Crist won because he ran away from the Republican Party.

District-16 was a gift thanks to the perversion of Mark Foley. District 22 was always a competitive district, where Elaine Bloom lost by only a few hundred votes back in 2000.

Bill Nelson would have been in danger were it not for the hideous Katherine Harris winning the GOP nod.

I'll give Alex Sink credit. She did win CFO over Tom Lee.

Still, this state has become dominated by the GOP. The legislature is so one-sided that I wonder if we ever have hope of gaining power.

5. Democrats used to have lopsided majorities in the legislature
The GOP would win a few seats every election, chipping away at the majority. Now that there are term limits, there will be more open seats and more opportunites.

It JUST did! She keeps emailing me to "get on board" but I have never responded! Now I'm so very glad I haven't!

Can she be fired or "wiped away" somehow???
