Labor Day Living Wage Walk

It will come as no surprise to any visitors of this wonderful site (even lurking Freepers) that we need a living wage standard in the United States.

I wish to do my part to raise awareness of this important issue. What better time to do so than Labor Day, the national holiday which is supposed to recognize and thank every American worker?

Hence, I have launched my monthly walkathon series which will highlight a variety of pressing issues which our state faces. The first will focus on the need for a living wage and will take place on the morning of Saturday, September 1. I will walk from Lake Buena Vista (about a mile from Disney property) along International Drive, Orlando's main tourist corridor, to Universal Studios.
