Has anyone heard about a new prescription law in Florida? |
|
I tried to have a prescription filled today for Nature-throid(thyroid medication made by Western Research Labs). I was told that there is a new law in Florida requiring pharmaceutical companies to register with the state before they can fill prescriptions for medications created by them.
It's been hard in the past to get pharmacies to fill a prescription for something they consider to be out-dated. They always want me to try a different drug that has never worked for me. So, I'm suspicious of this "new law".
I did a Google search and nothing is coming up. Anyone hear of this and/or have this happen?

is a family doc and he hasn't heard of a new law. It wouldn't surprise me though if it is so.

I wonder if there's a fee for them to "register" if there is, in fact, a new law.
That would play right into the hands of Merck, Glaxosmithkline, etc.
