Update on the window-ice defroster in GA |
|
Well, I went to a local Pep Boys, and it seems that the de-icer is not illegal in my county. Stores can opt out of selling it however-and the Advanced Auto Parts I had gone into decided to do just that.
Pep Boys had tons of the stuff, and the other de-icer in the aerosol can, too! So I bought some.

1. When I use that stuff it ices up the INSIDE of my windows |
|
I've never understood why.
I usually end up just scraping the ice by hand.

2. What is this de-icer stuff you speak of --- no ice in Savannah :-) |
|
But I did see a flurry once. It was a flurry or a big piece of pollen.

3. You spray it on your windshield to make the ice melt |
|
really better than leaving the car running while you are not in it and letting everything defrost.
