It's Martin vs. Shameless for the US Senate

1. We got a vote from my Republican husband

He is beginning to turn away from the Repubs. He is a veteran of both Gulf Wars, and after Iraq has been suffering with PTSD. He mentioned last night that he knew that Shameless voted against the latest vet bill, so he can no longer support him. He looked up Martin, and was pleased with what he saw.

I don't push him, I let him discover things on his own, and it seems to be working...:bounce:

I read something a little while ago that said Top Dem leaders hand picked Martin to run against Jones. I didn't know that! I am SO very glad to know that they ARE helping GA. We need all the help we can get against the red machine of the South.

6. um, ok, but if you knew Jim Wooten

you'd know he's pulling much if not all of this out of his ass.

His online column exists to find new excuses to attack Obama, and the notion that Obama's mighty political machine swooped in and made us vote for Martin is just the latest excuse. Wooten manages to post something complimentary about McCain about one post in twelve. Most of the rest are why you should be terrified of the Scary Colored Fella.

If it's as you say, that Dr. Dean's DNC has got its act together in propping up Martin in this run-off, that's great. But for the record, I didn't receive a single robo-call or direct-mail piece on Martin's behalf.

I skimmed over the article and got that Martin turned the voting around on Jones by huge margins, that's what I was responding to.


I've been making calls for Martin for a couple of weeks but the volunteer effort for this race has been very low from what I can tell. I didn't receive a call or any mail either or even see any campaign ads.

I'm hoping the Party will step up and help us with this as Martin has little money to fight with and Chambliss has 4 million; The fact that they hand picked him gives me hope that they will.
