What's the price of gas in your area? |
|
I was talking with my son this morning and he mentioned that gas prices in the Augusta area were $3.49 yesterday morning and today they are at $4.99. And every station in his small town is out of regular.
Zonkers! That's a $1.50 rise per gallon in two days. He's not happy at the moment.

1. I've seen as high as $4.09 |

by my parents' place (Decatur/S. Dekalb) the going rate seems to be $3.99 in my area (Dunwoody). I've seen that most of the time today. Guess I won't be doing any distance driving for a couple of days.

2. I'm in North Georgia, just northwest of Atlanta. |

This morning, most stations were $4.09 for regular. One station was selling regular for $4.99. I call that price gouging. Fortunately, I filled up Friday morning at Citgo. It was $3.69 for regular. Good thing I did because on the way home from work, must stations were at $4 and there were lines at all of them. Dumb people panic buying.

3. I'm in Stone Mountain. Friday afternoon, after seeing the local CBS news about |
|
gas problems (in Alpharetta, I think), I went to my nearby (i.e.very convenient) Exxon station to fill up. Two hours prior, it was $3.72, but when I got there, it was $3.82. Over the weekend it jumped up at least 3 more times. This morning it was up to $4.29. Gouging, much? Assholes.
