It is surreal to drive around Atlanta and see long lines at the gas station and people waiting two hours for ten gallons of gas. It seems like the 70's all over again. I just hope I can find a gas station on my way to work tomorrow, otherwise, I will not make it. I sure hope they get the supply for gasoline caught up before the end of the week, because I am pulling my hair out day-by-day.

1. I was around in the '70s and I remember

the gas lines well. I live up in Woodstock and all the gas stations are bone dry. I have a little over 1/2 a tank, which will last me until Monday. If there is still no gas, I will be parking my car and taking some vacation time from work.

For decades, we tell people moving here to try to live close to work. That 16 miles on paper could translate into an hour's commute. Now you can't even find gas to get to work.

4. Back in the 90's when we were buying a house

We knew we could get a McMansion if we were willing to live OTP. Instead we opted for a reasonable house in Avondale Estates (anything we could afford in Decatur still needed to be completely redone and we didn't have the finances).

We've NEVER regretted the decision.

BTW,

I remember the gas lines in the 70's in Florida. I also remember everyone's amazement that gas was as high as 55 to 65 cents per gallon. LOL.

I have found the stations along I-20 ITP usually have gas.
