Ok people, any DUer's listening in the metro area, get over there. I was there, but had to leave - crazy boss doesn't really approve of 3 hour lunches. Go figure.
Anyway, if you're close, go over there, if for no other reason than to show some support.

Trust me, this country is better off without that guy serving. I don't want him contaminating our service men and women. And the Jason guy, I did talk to him. I'm the one he was talking about bringing up environmental issues and such. And I did tell that guy that yes, Democrats here in GA are excited about Kerry. Also, I gave John a button that a local group here makes - it's a Kerry/Edwards button that says: Bring Back Complete Sentences
A tidbit for the ladies...the veteran guy who was first: Nice looking young man.

I myself live OTP, so I'm one of the other 5. Is OTP for you anywhere near Covington??? I'm recruiting so the others in my area don't feel so alone :)
There is quite an active scene of Democrats in the metro area. Lots of meetups, movie screenings, etc if you can just find them.
I recommend this website that has a good community calendar that lots of organizations post to: www.georgiafordemocracy.org

I'm actually all the way out in Cobb - my roommate is a dem too, and one of her acquaintances is as well, so that leaves 2 more unaccounted for. I heard a rumor there was a dem somewhere in Sandy Springs, but i've got no confirmation on that. :D

Wow, you like living dangerously, being a Dem and all. There are lots of Dems out that way. I met several when I was working on the Dean campaign.
Again, I'd try that website and the GA party site. It's a jumping off place to get your start in finding others.
I think there's a Cobb Co. Dem Party. If so, find out when the meetings are and go and take over. That's what I did.

I'll check the link out. I did actually run across a site for cobb county dems, but i looked at just before this last primary we had and it hadn't been updated sine May! that concerned me and made me wonder whether maybe they were defunct. I'll do a little more snooping tho.
