Perdue's proposed property tax increase |
|
Anybody else upset about Sonny boy's brilliant idea to instantly raise property taxes by eliminating homestead exemption? To me this seems like it's aimed directly at the middle class, as it won't affect renters, won't affect business property, and will have minimal impact on the wealthy. I'm pretty po'd, this seems to be asking one group of Georgians to foot the bill for his bad decisions over the course of his term as governor. He's handed out plenty of tax breaks and tax credits for businesses, now he's asking me to send him a check to help balance his budget.
I'm represented by Glenn Richardson, for once his slimy arse might be of some use since it's to his advantage politically to get noticed, and opposing Sonny boy will get him noticed.

1. Of course, you're right. |

The homestead exemption is a joke, as is, but it's better than nothing, and, yes, it primarily benefits the middle class. As if Sonny ever cared about the middle class.
