My first time here, and I don't know if "it is cool or not...

I live in Atlanta, cumberland Mall area, close to Marietta. And I need to find a general practitioner I can trust. I'm 63, developing high blood pressure, high cholesterol. My current doc is in Canton. He sort of prescribes from a far. I need someone to listen to my chest. I cough like a maniac. I've previously had both breasts removed for cancer. I've gained tons of weight. I broke my ankle in January 2009, and haven't fully healed. I'm 62, soon to be 63 - I'm overweight. Have smoked since I was 17, but chewing nicorette gum right now.

I guess I need a general practioner. I have BC/BS. Any recommendations regarding finding a doctor?

I'd appreciate your input. this is serious.

There are lots of docs in your area who accept BC/BS. If you are near Vinings, you might try the Piedmont Physicians Group at 770-437-4200. That's where I go, and I'm still living. They have four docs, two internists, a family physician and a general practitioner. They also have other locations closer to Marietta.
