1000 tree giveaway this Sunday 9-2

 Malama o Manoa has embarked on a project called 'The 1000 Tree Giveaway'.  In an effort to enhance the beauty of our communities and to protect our fragile watershed and urban forests, we are making these trees available to Oahu residents in and out of the valley to plant in their yards.  We will be giving these trees away on Sunday, Sept. 5 between 9:00 and 2:00 at the Manoa District Park pavilion (off Lowery Avenue).     
The trees are free and include wiliwili, kukui, historic hau, kamani nut, samoan coconut, plumeria, papaya, mountain apple, banana, milo, mango, jabong, monkey pod and many others. 
We will also have arborists and plant doctors there to answer your many questions.   Give a gift to the earth....plant a tree..
